Sarah Schulman, the prolific writer and activist, and her seminal book Conflict Is Not Abuse are profiled by Molly Fischer in New York Magazine.

The in-depth article explores Sarah's extraordinary past, which includes her work with ACT UP in New York in the 1980s and 90s, and her subsequent efforts to record interviews with more than 180 surviving members of the group as part of the ACT UP Oral History Project. Sarah also discusses at length the events and ideas that led to the writing of Conflict Is Not Abuse, first published in the fall of 2016, and which remains one of Arsenal Pulp Press' biggest sellers (now in its eighth printing).

Sarah has written over 30 books of fiction, nonfiction, and drama, including five novels available through Arsenal: Rat Bohemia, Empathy, After Delores, The Child, and The Mere Future.
