Francesca Ekwuyasi's Butter Honey Pig Bread longlisted for the Scotiabank Giller Prize

We are thrilled to announce that Butter Honey Pig Bread by Franceca Ekwuyasi has been longlisted for the 2020 Scotiabank Giller Prize!

Francesca's debut novel is one of 14 Canadian-authored fiction titles to make the cut, out of a field of 118 books submitted.

Butter Honey Pig Bread is an intergenerational saga about two Nigerian sisters and their mother: a novel about food, family, and forgiveness. Francesca will be appearing at a number of virtual book festivals in Canada this fall, including the Toronto International Festival of Authors, the Ottawa International Writers Festival, the Vancouver Writers Fest, Afterwords (in Halifax), and Thin Air (in Winnipeg).
