Lindsay Wong has won the Hubert Evans Nonfiction Prize at the BC Book Prizes for her acclaimed memoir The Woo-Woo: How I Survived Ice Hockey, Drugs, Demons, and My Crazy Chinese Family.

The award was presented at a ceremony in Vancouver on May 11. Lindsay's darkly humorous book has garnered a lot of attention in recent months; it was also a finalist for this year's Canada Reads competition (defended by fashion personality Joe Zee), was shortlisted for the Hilary Weston Writers' Trust of Canada Prize for Nonfiction, and longlisted for the Leacock Medal for Humor.

Congratulations, Lindsay!
