If you're in Vancouver on May 18 and 19, please join us at VanCAF, the Vancouver Comic Arts Festival that takes place at the Roundhouse Community Centre. We'll be selling our graphic novels and comic books, and Vivek Shraya and Ness Lee (Death Threat), Gord Hill (The Antifa Comic Book), and Teresa Wong (Dear Scarlet) will be participating on panels and signing books!

The Roundhouse is at 181 Roundhouse Mews (corner of Pacific and Davie Sts). We'll be at Tables A1 and A2 in the Main Exhibition Hall.

On Friday, May 17, the night before VanCAF, Vivek Shraya joins moderator Sloane Leong and fellow creators Ben Passmore, Cole Pauls, and Kris Mukai to talk about craft, cultural memory, collaboration, and their latest comics.

On Friday, May 17, the day before VanCAF, Gord Hill leads a workshop on writing for non-fiction comics: "Do you love reading non-fiction comics, but don't know where to start on creating your own? In this workshop Gord Hill, author of The Antifa Comic Book, will discuss research methods and storyline crafting for non-fiction comics."

Panellists: Cole Pauls, Alina Pete, Jenn Arledge, Gord Hill
Artists Cole Pauls, Alina Pete, Jenn Arledge and Gord Hill will have an open discussion about comics with Indigenous people in them. Focusing on non-native writers and their portrayals of First Nations, Cole, Alina, Jenn & Gord will critique the misconceptions and flat out racist depictions of Indigenous people.
