Between Certain Death and a Possible Future and Our Work Is Everywhere: Lambda Literary Award finalists

Between Certain Death and a Possible Future: Queer Writing on Growing Up with the AIDS Crisis edited by Mattilda Bernstein Sycamore and Our Work Is Everywhere: An Illustrated Oral History of Queer and Trans Resistance by Syan Rose have been named as finalists for the Lambda Literary Awards, announced on March 15.

Between Certain Death and a Possible Future is a finalist in the category of LGBTQ Anthology. The book is a collection of personal essays on the persistent impact of the AIDS crisis on queer lives. Our Work Is Everywhere is a finalist in the category of LGBTQ Comics. In it, illustrator and curator Syan Rose shines a light on the faces and voices of the diverse, amorphous, messy, real, and imagined queer and trans communities.

The Lambda Literary Awards celebrate the year's best LGBTQ books and authors. This year's award ceremony will be held virtually on June 11.
