Amber Dawn (My Art Is Killing Me and Other Poems) and Eve Lazarus (Vancouver Exposed: Searching for the City's Hidden History) are finalists for the 2021 BC and Yukon Book Prizes!

My Art Is Killing Me and Other Poems is a finalist for the Jim Deva Prize for Writing that Provokes, named in honour of the late Jim Deva, activist and co-owner of Vancouver's legendary Little Sister's bookstore. Amber Dawn has been shortlisted for BC and Yukon Book Prizes twice previously, for Where the words end and my body begins (Dorothy Livesay Poetry Prize) and Sodom Road Exit (Ethel Wilson Fiction Prize).

Vancouver Exposed is a finalist for the Bill Duthie Booksellers' Choice Prize, voted on by independent booksellers in BC and the Yukon. Eve has been shortlisted for this award twice previously, for Cold Case Vancouver and Murder by Milkshake.
