Eve Lazarus' Murder by Milkshake: Vancouver Book Award finalist
Congratulations to Eve Lazarus, whose book Murder by Milkshake: An Astonishing True Story of Adultery, Arsenic, and a Charismatic Killer is a finalist for the 2019 City of Vancouver Book Award!
Murder by Milkshake is a true crime tale about a sensational case in the 1960s that kept Vancouver spellbound, while providing a snapshot of the city's Mad Men-esque social and political realities in the 1960s. The book has already won accolades; it was a finalist for the Bill Duthie Bookseller's Choice Prize at this year's BC Book Prizes, and is a finalist for a Arthur Ellis Award from the Crime Writers of Canada. It also spent many weeks on the BC bestseller list.
Eve is the author of two other crime-related Vancouver books, Cold Case Vancouver and Blood, Sweat, and Fear: The Story of Inspector Vance, Vancouver's First Forensic Investigator.
