Michael Morris was born in 1942 in Saltdean, UK. As an artist, with Vincent Trasov, Morris developed Image Bank, which later became known as the Morris/Trasov Archive. His artwork is housed in such institutions as the National Gallery of Canada, Vancouver Art Gallery, Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, and the Museum of Modern Art. Michael Morris passed away in 2022.
