Job opportunity! Book designer/production manager
Arsenal Pulp Press of Vancouver seeks a full-time book designer/production manager to oversee the design and production of its printed and digital books and other materials. Duties include the co-ordination of all aspects of production; the design of book covers and interiors (both visual and straight text), catalogues, advertisements, and website assets; the formatting and creation of .epub and .mobi files for ebook production (knowledge of HTML and CSS preferred); and working with freelancers and printers. Applicants should be outgoing, self-motivated, open-minded, team-oriented, and compatible with our indie-press style. Proficiency in Creative Suite (Mac and/or PC, including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro), and Acrobat Pro is a plus, as is previous experience in book production.
